Finally a group takes the gloves off. No more politicians saying we'll wait another six months, we'll wait another six months. Finally the heat comes down on the person who is supposedly running the show.

And so many of us run from it.

The Dems have everything on their side, and yet here is something that will gain the attention of everyone in every home reading the paper, and ask them to think about how truthful any of what we are being told actually is.

Yet the Dems and so many of us freak out and duck for cover.The Republicans run toward their base we run from it.

The Dems could've said--yes I am concerned about the truth. They could've said enough is enough. We could be saying yes we've turned up the heat on everyone--everyone except the General.

And now here it is. And everyone freaks out as if he is beyond questioning.

Some interesting points to consider and spread concerning Fred Thompson the actor who acts like a Washington outsider.

* Thompson spent decades as a lobbyist in Washington. During the 1980s
he represented the energy firm Westinghouse in a failed attempt to win
billions in federal subsidies. Over the past few years, he has lobbied
on behalf of Equitas, a London company seeking to limit liability
claims for asbestos-related illnesses. That project has earned him $760,000.
The Washington Post even dubbed Thompson the "access man."

* Thompson has hosted fundraisers for the Scooter Libby Legal Defense
Fund, and when Sean Hannity asked if he would pardon Libby, he said
Absolutely.

* In an interview last week, Thompson charged that the Roe v. Wade
decision was "was fabricated out of whole cloth," and that it was the worst
court ruling in the past 40 years. He went on to equate so-called
"late-term" abortions with infanticide, implying that women who undergo the
procedure are criminals.

How do we tell the world - progressives told you so!

This is a progressive moment!
Democrats are all calling for public healthcare, rigorous environnmental policies to stop global warming.
Republicans are doing the same. And they are both calling for some form of end to the Iraq war.

These are issues that mainstream Democrats and certainly no Republicans would have touched with a ten-foot-pole just a few years ago. How did this happen? More importantly how do we tell them and the public....
Progressives told you so!

Many of them of shifting to the left because it us suddenly popular. But how do we make certain the public knows these issues were progressive issues and how do we keep these issues from being 'stolen' from us for lack of a better term. How do we say to moderates and conservatives 'we told you so' and how do we make the public realize the potential of the progressive movement?

I guess this is all a long preamble to this-- How do we seize this moment as a progressive moment?

FOX NEWS is already lying about Obama.

Obama announced his presidential run yesterday, linking his run to Lincoln, and the need to unify a devided house. He touched on a number of key issues and we can already see him working hard to be a uniter.

He indicates gov't will play a crucial role in our lives, but he calls for strong personal responsibility and a strong work ethic. He calls for better support for teachers and better support to the middle class. He speaks of the importance of faith and hope.

He spoke of Iraq. And here is where FOX NEWS tried to Swift Boat him.
